Our horse transporters are built, according to customer requirements, on a wide range of renowned vehicle manufacturers\u2019 chassis. If you ever need service or repairs for the base vehicle, you can simply visit a specialist workshop near you. RJH horse transporters are the only ones on the market that allow the original tilting mechanism of the driver\u2019s cab to be opened without any additional locks, meaning our vehicles can be handled in the usual way by any mechanic.<\/p>

Just like the basic vehicle, our body also requires regular maintenance in our production facility in order to ensure the usual functionality in the long term. We recommend having this service carried out once a year.<\/p>

If it is not possible for you to bring your RJH horsebox to us yourself, you are welcome to make use of our practical pick-up and delivery service.<\/p>

In some cases, vehicle registration can be challenging and is often associated with a lot of bureaucracy and long waiting times. We are happy to assist you with this and can take care of the process on your behalf. For this, we do, however, need a few documents from you, which are listed in the attached file. We will, of course, handle all of the vehicle papers for you. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Please note that we require some of the documents to be signed in the original (no copies), otherwise they will not be accepted by the registration office and it will not be possible to register the vehicle.<\/p>

If you would like a specific license plate for your new vehicle, you can reserve this online on the website of the relevant registration authority. You reserve the license plate for the vehicle owner and send us the PIN or the confirmation with the remaining documents.<\/p>

The eVB (short for elektronische Versicherungsbest\u00e4tigung \u2013 electronic insurance confirmation) is a seven-character code that serves as proof of an existing motor insurance policy. Without this number, you cannot register or re-register a vehicle.<\/p>

Simply request the EVB from your insurance company - you will usually receive it on the same day or even in just a few moments. To simplify the recording of the vehicle data, ask us for a reference certificate or the data of the vehicle, which you can forward to your insurance company.<\/p>

Since 1 July 2024, all vehicles with a technically permissible maximum mass (tzGm) of more than 3.5 tons are subject to tolls. The tzGm <\/i>of your vehicle can be found in the Field F.2 <\/b>Registration certificate I (vehicle registration document). If a value > 3500 is entered here, your vehicle is subject to tolls if it is intended or used for road haulage.<\/p>

The simplest and most secure option for billing the toll is a permanently installed on-board unit (OBU). This automatically records the route you have driven and makes your toll bookings for you. Billing then takes place via your stored means of payment and you conveniently receive an invoice and an overview of your journeys. To do this, you must register with Toll Collect in advance and have the OBU installed in your vehicle at a service partner near you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

There are also other options for booking tolls for individual routes via the app or online without registering.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Yes, horseboxes with living quarters or combinations are eligible for toll exemption. In principle, the living area of a horsebox must be at least 51% of the total area in order to apply for toll exemption. If this is the case, the vehicle is considered a Camper van and is therefore exempt from tolls.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Please note, however, that this always applies to the entire combination. If, for example, you need a horse trailer for your next tournament, you must take into account that the residential part of the combination will be reduced and the combination may be subject to the toll, even though the individual vehicle is toll-free.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

As it is not immediately apparent from the outside that some vehicles are toll-exempt motorhomes, it is advisable to apply for a toll exemption on the Toll Collect website. This means that the vehicle data is stored in the system and possible checks can be avoided.<\/p>
